After being in the hair industry for over 30 years now (ack!!) Elise has had the pleasure of working with some of the most creative, talented and funky (in a good way) hair stylists in San Francisco. She opened up her own space, Gräsplan, in 2010 - for many different reasons.

Tired of constantly battling greenwashing in the beauty industry and breathing in toxins from chemical services & heavily scented hair products, Elise decided to open up a space that would reflect the values and 'clean' standards that she adheres to on a regular basis in her personal life. Wanting to focus on services and hair products that were considerably less toxic, more eco-friendly and health conscious for the stylists, clients and the environment - up sprouted Gräsplan. 

Oh yeah - Elise also cuts and colors hair! Her mild OCD comes in really handy in creating sharp precision cuts that grow out super nice. Want something a little less precision, messy, low maintenance or natural? Elise can do that to. She believes communication is the key to a great haircut or color service and she has been perfecting that part, along with wielding sharp scissors and some bomb-ass hair color for over 30 years. It's very possible that when walking out of the shop you'll realize that you have some answers to questions you never even asked…
